Stevens Capco Algo Trading Competition
We are hosting the Stevens Capco Algo Trading Competition (SCATC) currently, and it started in March of this year. This has been the third year we've hosted this competition. We have 14 teams admitted this year and they come from different departments at Stevens (Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, etc.) and both graduate and undergraduate students. In this competition, each team will develop and validate their quantitative strategy in SHIFT system, which is a realistic market replaying system. All the strategies are algorithmic and no human effort is involved during trading. Their algorithm is competing in one simulated market against each other and historical orders. We have 5 events with different themes this year, which involves different market scenario and even trading in market that is simulated by bot agents. A cash prize will be awarded to the top 3 teams. The competition is going to end in early May after 5 sessions. Stay tuned for results!
