The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) complies statistics in cooperation with central banks and other national authorities. The statistics are designed to inform analysis of financial stability, international monetary spillovers, and global liquidity. Examples include international banking, debt securities, and credit statistics.
The BIS offers several statistical tools to help users navigate its data sets and statistics, all of which are accessible through the link above. Two interactive tools—the BIS Statistics Explorer and the BIS Statistics Warehouse—allow users to view data in different formats. The data is also available through the BIS SDMX web services API, and each dataset can also be downloaded as a single (zipped) CSV file here.
