If your Bloomberg account stopped working after about a month of not being used, your account is likely deactivated by Bloomberg. You need to call Bloomberg support (+1 (212) 318-2000) by yourself. Usually it can be activated again during the phone call after verifying that you are a current Stevens member.

Due to restricted access to campus caused by the recent public health situations, we are working with Bloomberg to offer remote Bloomberg terminal access to Stevens members.

If you are in the Hanlon Financial Systems Labs on the 1st and 4th floor of the Babbio Center, you can launch Bloomberg terminals if you have your Bloomberg username and password ready.

For remote access, your Bloomberg account has to be associated with your Stevens account by using your Stevens email when creating the Bloomberg account. And you will need to set up your own computer following the intructions below.

Here are the steps for creating a Stevens associated Bloomberg account and launch Bloomberg terminals on campus or off campus. If you have used Bloomberg Terminal before and your Bloomberg account is ready, you can jump to Step 6.

  1. Create a Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) account here for free using your Stevens email. This account is only for logging into the Bloomberg for Education portal. This account is not what you use to access Bloomberg terminals. You need to request for the Bloomberg account in the next step.
"Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) is a library of e-learning courses that provides an introduction to the financial markets. By taking BMC, you will learn about the financial markets via 35 learning outcomes, familiarize yourself with over 100 Bloomberg terminal functions, solidify your knowledge with over 160 interactive questions."

  2. After logging into the Bloomberg for Education portal, click on the Terminal Access on the top, as shown in the pictures below. Send the request by clicking on the request switch.

  3. If you are in a Bloomberg related course in the current semester, your instructor should have sent the list of students to us. Please confirm with your instructor. We will process requests from the lists of students daily.

  4. If you are not in a Bloomberg related course, please send the reason and details of your request through the Hanlon Lab Resource Request Form. You will need an approval from your advisor.

  5. When your request is processed, you will receive the username and password of your Bloomberg account in your email. This is what you will use to access Bloomberg terminals.

  6. Citrix Workspace is required to run Bloomberg Terminals on your computer. Please follow the instructions here ( to install it. Once Citrix Workspace is ready, you can launch Bloomberg terminals as shown in the video blow.

  7. If you are in the Hanlon labs, the workstations are ready with everything you need. You can directly launch Bloomberg terminals as shown in the video below. If you need to access the Hanlon lab workstations remotely, you can send a request through here. You will also need Stevens VPN.
